Don the Clown (for kids and adults)
Edward
DeBozo
You might have seen Edward DeBozo at the Perth Royal Show, The 2007 Australia vs NZ 20/Twenty cricket match, The Perth Zoo, The WA Trots or at a regional agricultural show. Often it’s a surprise
when you see him because he might have squirted water near you from
his mobile phone, or he might have lowered his rubber lobster on
your head when you weren’t looking. Or you might have just
seen him entertaining a large mob of children by juggling, doing
magic, riding unicycle or making balloon sculptures.
When there’s enough space he also plays
games with a parachute. Children of all ages can be seen running
back to their parents with a huge smile and a comment like, “Wow,
that was great!” or “He taught me how to juggle,”
or “I got a prize for being part of his show!”
Edward can also be seen walking on stilts
in parades, running games and circus activities or just being the ‘professional idiot’ he is.
Not just for kids - Edward
De Bozo
(the famous lateral drinker)
A businessman in a grey suit walks into the
room. He has glasses and a hat. He could be any one of the well-dressed
people at the function, but there’s something odd about him… maybe it’s his walk, his spotted
tie… or maybe because he just regurgitated a rubber crayfish! And now he’s balancing a table on his chin!
Edward De Bozo is a cheeky but lovable fool who
has been seen at hundreds of functions. He has also been known to
MC comedy gigs but mostly he works as a roaming entertainer, an
ice-breaker for those functions where things are just a little too
cool.
So what else does he do? Close up magic, juggling,
balloon sculpture, unicycle and fire swallowing. He also plays ukelele
while singing bizarre love songs. He can write songs to fit the
occasion, or tailor his act to suit a client’s requirements.
Edward’s past clients include: Burswood
Casino, Woodside Petroleum, WA Trotting Association, REIWA, Coca-Cola WA and lots of private birthday
parties.
He can create gentle havoc, but always in a way
that keeps everyone happy. Sometimes it's a card trick, sometimes
you'll find him inadvertantly sitting in the boss's chair. If you
haven't seen Edward DeBozo in action, you've missed seeing a master
clown at work.
